Kelly brings more than 25 years of hospitality experience with a focus in operations to Pacific Inns as a Regional Operations Manager. Her first position in the hospitality industry started during college at a Marriott where she gained comprehensive experience working several positions. She earned her degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the Denver Institute of Technology in 1996, and a year later opened her first of many properties in a management role.
Currently, Kelly enjoys working with her team at Pacific Inns to provide the tools and support they need to deliver outstanding service as well as a quality product that builds loyalty for guests. The quote that has resonated with her since the beginning of her career is by JW Bill Marriott: “Motivate them, train them, care about them and make winners out of them. We know if we treat our employees right, they’ll treat the customer right. And if customers are treated right, they’ll come back.”
Kelly’s most recent position prior to joining the Pacific Inns team was Senior Manager of Hotel Openings and Transitions in Sales and Marketing for Marriott International where she opened 60 plus hotels across all brands in the U.S. and Canada. In that role, she led, trained and supported all hotels in executing a successful opening sales and marketing strategy to maximize revenue.
Her educational and professional background gives her a unique understanding of the intricacies of hotel operations and management. Kelly is an asset to the Pacific Inns team with her hands-on management style and intimate knowledge of the sales aspects of a hotel. Her experience helps her to facilitate a more independent approach to problems, and build a more competent hotel team that also results in a more consistent and positive guest experience. In addition, Kelly has attended countless special training programs in hospitality management that allow her to continue to polish and share her expertise with her team.
